TCS Oil Detachment
The TCS Oil Crew Detachment began as a help group to CAF Headquarters for its annual AIRSHO®. Our very own Col. Doug Richardson, for many years, saw that the oiling and servicing of the warbirds was done correctly and safely. With Doug's retirement from "climbing on the birds", he encouraged our members to pick up where he left off and continue the tradition. Now, a few years later, The TCS Oil Crew is the premier flightline servicing unit for not only the annual AIRSHO® in Midland, but is also in demand for other air shows in the statewide area. With Col. Mike Tromm as leader, the Oil Crew is ready and able to service the warbirds with efficiency and promptness. Safety is always paramount and the crew follows all FAA and CAF guidelines. Our Oil Detachment will be busy this Fall, working AIRSHO in Midland in September, Wings over Houston in October, and the Waco show in November! Again...Third Coast leads the way in "keeping 'em flying!"
